Why does compiling from my DAX matter if Copilot already writes DAX?

Writing fresh DAX from the schema means the business meaning is inferred again on each question, and can differ next time. Compiling from your governed definitions means a term binds to your Calculation or Segment instead of being re-inferred, the interpretation is shown before anything runs, and accepted work can be reused instead of regenerated.

Is Spotonix native DAX/PBIX ingestion available today?

Not generally. Reading your Power BI models directly into the Context Graph is in early access with design partners — coming, not yet GA. The interpretation-before-execution behavior (plan shown, ambiguity gated, generated SQL validated against the accepted plan) is what you can see in the demo today.
